Dear Alumni,
If you follow the school on Twitter @bvgs1527, you will be very aware of this, but some of you may well not be.
Over the course of last week, 1200+ pieces of PPE were produced at the BVGS DT ‘factory’ in room 51 run by Skye Bowen and Andrea Gregory, and supported latterly in recent days by 6 other secondary schools: Arthur Terry, Fairfax, John Wilmott, Plantsbrook, Streetly and Stockland Green.
This PPE has been distributed to local hospitals, hospices and care homes. It has been very well received indeed by key workers.
We are very grateful to OVs, current staff and the wider community, who have donated PVC plastic.
To do even more, we would like more polypropelene (PP) and PVC plastic. Can you or do you know of anyone who could donate this? Please contact Skye on s.bowen@bishopveseys.bham.sch.uk if you or someone you know can help.
The materials can be purchased via the following link:-
