160 alumni spanning all ages came together to once again reconnect with old friends and hear about the school’s recent successes. The oldest alumni attending was 94 years old with the youngest at 22 and still studying at university.
A wonderful champagne reception in the historic Big School was kindly funded by Clive Richards OBE KSG DL and Old Veseyan (1950-1954).
Speeches were given by the new school captains Alice Tinsley and Josh Russell who updated the community on the latest successes of BVGS: sports, drama, music and of course academia. Good food, good wine and even better company was enjoyed by all who attended the sell-out dinner.
Thank you to Tom Greenwood OV (2002-2009) and a current Geography teacher here at Vesey for co-ordinating 45 of his year group to attend the dinner, for their 10-year reunion after leaving the school in 2009.
The chair of the OVA Paul Wallis once again organised a splendid event. His efforts do not go unnoticed and we thank him for being a pillar in our Vesey community. We look forward to the next OVA Dinner!
