Who saw Vesey on ITV Central last Friday?
On Friday 25th March, all students in Years 7-10 and 12 participated in a walk around the pavilion to fundraise for refugees displaced by the crisis in Ukraine. The total distance the students walked was equivalent to the distance of around 2,600km from Birmingham to Kyiv.
We are pleased to announce that our JustGiving fundraiser surpassed the £5,000 goal. All the money raised will go directly to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency who are delivering support to fleeing Ukrainian civilians.
Visit the JustGiving page here if you wish to donate still.
Over the week's we've also held sponsored silences, cake sales, football matches, magnetic fishing contests, face painting, blanket collections, and Mario Kart racing for the UNHCR. Our total fundraising amount will be published in the coming weeks.
Vesey team spirit, compassion and proactivity to do good.
Thank you everyone!
