BVGS 3RD ANNUAL GOLF DAY – Friday 8th June 2018
Another successful money raising effort was held at Walmley Golf Club with main sponsor X2 Furniture and all holes individually sponsored by various corporate sponsors and associated organisations. Your Association sponsored Hole no. 3, a 337 yard par 4 hole.
At the time of going to press with the programme, sadly, all the available tee times had not been filled and the lack of local Old Veseyans was noticeable. It is understood that there were other conflicting events taking place on the day that would account for some absentees from previous years. As Dominic Robson states in his forward to the programme “....Golf Day is an opportunity for parent, staff and Old Veseyans to come together and raise money to support Vesey Sport.”
Nevertheless, many participants were in high praise of the condition of the Walmley Golf Course and in particular the greens. As ever the hospitality and organisation by the Club who are also Corporate Partners of BVGS, was exemplary with Pascal’s running buffet once more much appreciated.
Chairman, Paul Wallis paid a visit on the day, albeit not a golfer.
