Eventmasters Saddles Up For Ascot

Corporate Partner Eventmasters who ran the silent auction at the recent Sports Dinner have offered the BVGS community a special offer for hospitality at the forthcoming Royal Ascot.

With just a few weeks to go until the biggest horse racing event of the summer, Birmingham-based corporate hospitality agency Eventmasters is predicting that it will be taking record numbers to Royal Ascot.
And that is on the back off hundreds of racing enthusiasts who signed up with the firm for the Cheltenham Festival – including Cerise Carroll (Costco Wholesale) who won our business card prize draw competition at The Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce Spring Expo 2017, for two complimentary places inside The Venue on St Patrick’s Thursday.
Said to be the Queen’s favourite race meeting, Royal Ascot runs from Tuesday June 20 to Saturday June 24.
Over 300,000 people make the annual visit to Berkshire during the week, making it Europe’s best-attended race meeting.
There are eighteen group races on offer including The Gold Cup. Eventmasters, appointed as an Official Hospitality Supplier directly by Ascot Racecourse, have packages on offer across all days.
Abdul Rashid, Eventmasters commercial consultant, said the firm’s success at Cheltenham along with bookings for Ascot was partly down to the confidence it had shown in taking on extra hospitality opportunities.
But he also believes the sport continues to grow in popularity.
He said: “Horse racing is moving with the times whilst retaining its aura and tradition.
“Royal Ascot recently announced that it will target the festival generation with a new area aimed at twenty and thirtysomething race-goers.
“And its new style guide includes jumpsuits. Yes, jumpsuits will now be permitted in the Royal Enclosure, an almost revolutionary departure given the last major fashion change to be made to the dress code was the trouser suit in 1971.
“Horse racing is a sport galloping into a glorious future. It is cost-effective, affordable, glamorous, a great day out and just a wonderful experience. Its appeal is universal – from flat caps to exotic hats and from Royalty to rotters!”
Eventmasters too has been widening its package range to cater for all styles and tastes including a private box option plus a new concept in hospitality from The Paddock Restaurant at QIPCO Champions Day, the UK’s richest race meeting. The facility adjoins the owners and trainers area, putting Eventmasters’ guests at the heart of the action.

Hospitality within The Paddock Restaurant will include a professional room host, Jed Stone, and “amateur” tipster competitions offering great prizes.
Managing director Denise Sheasby commented: “2017 is shaping up to be a great racing year for our company.
“It is hugely important for us, we run our own stable of horses and support the industry with significant sponsorship. And we do our utmost to make it a terrific day out for our clients.”
