When Rohit Jakhu started school in year 7 as a complete beginner to hockey, Mr Doughty and myself had the pleasure of watching him in his very first session. It was apparent from the outset that he was a quick learner and could pick up new skills and apply them into a game situation. Rohit has been instrumental in his year group and has always encouraged others to improve. His determination to succeed stems from an excellent work ethic and this undoubtedly has given him a goal to aim for. It was not surprising to the PE staff that he is has been rewarded with his recent England U’16 squad selection. I look forward to seeing him represent the school 1st team over the next 3 years and I am sure he will be rewarded with further honours outside of school.
Well done on a wonderful achievement! The school are very proud of your accomplishments.
