Do you remember Peter Robert Wheeler at BVGS 1960 – 62?

David Fauldner, who is writing Peter's biography, is searching for Old Veseyans who may be able to assist him with information.

Peter was the successful owner of a specialist chemical processing company to the Oil industry and then between 1982 - 2004 chairman of Great British sportscar manufacturer and engineer TVR. Both of these companies remain in existence today.

At the age of 16 he moved to Chester Road, Sutton Coldfield with his parents Denis and Dorothy from Sheffield, towards the end of 1960. After completing his Advanced Levels, he went on to read Chemical Engineering at the University of Birmingham.

The BVGS Alumni Network has been contacted by David Faulder who is writing Peter’s biography. Sadly Peter passed away in June 2009 at the age of just 65 and not a great deal is known about his formative years.

If you were a contemporary of Peter and can remember him, both Peter’s family and David shall be pleased to hear from you. Of particular interest are the subjects studied at BVGS the tutors and of course, any stories or anecdotes you may recall.

If you have a school year photograph from 1961/62 this may also help, especially if all the tall lads had to stand at the back! Please contact: davidfaulder@btinternet.com
