Renewing old friendships

This Saturday, the Old Veseyan Association held their annual dinner here at Bishop Vesey's Grammar School. The evening was a great success with 142 attendees representing a wide range of alumni including boarders such as Kaye Squires from the era when Geoffrey Cross was Headteacher (1947-1965).

There was a fantastic showing from the Class of 1975, brilliantly organised by Jon Ratledge. It was also wonderful to welcome back relatively new OVs from 2000, 2018 and 2000.

A huge thank you to everyone who made the evening such a success, especially Chairman of the OVA Ed Pitt and the ever-reliable OV Committee and supporters. Brilliantly supported by BVGS colleagues and governors, particularly Graham Swindells and Master of Ceremonies, Ralph Brocklebank. Plyvine Catering provided fantastic food and drink throughout the night. Finally, the Officer Team who led wonderful tours and very much enjoyed talking to OVs.

We look forward to seeing you all for a great turnout on Saturday November 7th 2026. Get it in your diaries now. A big one for any starters or leavers in 1966, 1976, 2001, 2006, 2016.

If you have never been before to one of the OV annual dinners, make 2026 your first ever!
