The evening is a celebration of Vesey sport with representatives from all of the schools main sports in attendance, rugby, hockey, cricket, rowing, netball and cross-country. Two awards are given out per age group team: Player of the Year and Most Improved Player.
This year our guest speaker was Wolverhampton-based bronze medal winning Olympic gymnast, Kristian Thomas who gave us an inspiring talk about the sacrifices and commitment required to reach the very highest echelons of sport.

There are also two 'whole school' awards; Team of the Year and Sports Person of the Year. The school netball team cleaned up, with the 1st VII squad receiving the Team of the Year accolade for their performances in reaching the National Finals for the thirs succesive year, whilst captain Lucy Parize was awarded the Sports Person of the Year for her exploits for school, England U19s and professional outfit Wasps.

The event is one of the main fundraisers for school sport, with the proceeds from raffle, heads and tails and auctions all helping the PE department to improve the quality and quantity of sports provision for future students. Thank you to Corporate Partner Event Masters who attended with a host of signed memorabilia and hospitality experiences, and helped the school to raise much-needed extra income from these sales.
