We are delighted to announce that Mr Mohamed Samak has joined the PE department as our new hockey coach.
Mr Samak is formerly an Egyptian international hockey player, who has taken part in world cups and international tournaments at junior and senior level. He has also played in Dutch hockey teams for three years before becoming a coach in the UK. He has coached the Welsh National Girls U16 and U18 teams, as well as working as a coach at the Worcestershire public school, Malvern College. Mr Samak has just been appointed Assistant Coach of the Under 16 Welsh Boys Team.
A huge thank you to a private donor, who is funding this hockey post for the students of Bishop Vesey's Grammar School.
We hope this appointment will strengthen our already impressive hockey provision and move our standard of play upwards to an even higher level.
