Honeybourne Facilities Group is one of the latest business to join the Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School (BVGS) Corporate Partnership Programme, which was introduced and officially launched in February.

Owner Doug Hunt and his team at Honeybourne work with businesses to share their facilities management and construction expertise, relating to property care and management, throughout the UK.

Hunt comments: “The school funding issue is never far from the headlines and it’s wonderful to see a school adopt a proactive approach to coping with the already tight budgets they are facing. As an ex-student, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the school between 1990 and 1996. Now I’m able to get involved once again by supporting the school and helping its students to make the most of their time at BVGS. Joining the partnership has also given me chance to reconnect with fellow school friends, many of whom have started businesses of their own and are also looking to give back to the community. So far the experience has been highly rewarding."

Brian Davies of BVGS, who is heading up the partnership programme has organised several events to bring together all partners and integrate them with the school and some of the older students.

“The recent jobs fair held at the school is one example; we exhibited there, it was good to get involved and discuss careers and aspirations with the students. And, as Education is one of the main sectors we work in, we’re well-versed in educating students about the processes and practices in the construction world. We’re delighted to be involved in this forward-thinking initiative and look forward to continuing to build on our relationships with the school, and the other Corporate Partners.”

Brian Davies, Development Director and Deputy Director of Sports at the school comments: “It’s great to welcome Doug and the team at Honeybourne to the partnership. Some of the other Corporate Partners have already enlisted their help with facilities management and refurbishment needs and I urge you to get in touch if you have any requirements, if you haven’t already.”

“We now have 25 Corporate Partners in total and we look forward to continuing to work together to build a brighter future for our school and students.”
