Corporate Partnership welcomes new relationship with Power Minerals
Nigel Waldron, Managing Director, of Power Minerals
The UK’s leading supplier of construction and manufacturing ash, Power Minerals, has already begun demonstrating the beauty of company collaboration within the initiative.
Since joining Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School (BVGS) Corporate Partnership in 2016, Power Minerals has been involved with a Rational FX project alongside some of the other partners.
This particular project helped save Power Minerals a considerable amount of money, allowing the company a definite advantage against its market competitors.
Power Minerals, which specialises in the supply of Pulverised Fuel Ash (PFA) and Furnace Bottom Ash (FBA) from the UK’s Coal and Biomass Fired Power Stations, joins Bishop Vesey’s Corporate Partnership as one of its 30 current partners. The Partnership is aimed at improving the school’s facilities and services, whilst offering a networking forum for local businesses to meet and collaborate.
Nigel Waldron, Managing Director of Power Minerals commented: “It’s a great honour to be involved with this initiative that aims to support students at Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School.
“My son, Brett, recently left Bishop Vesey’s Sixth Form after being the Deputy School Captain last year, so I’m familiar with the school and the great work it does for its pupils.
“As President of the Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce, I’m very much aware of the benefits such Corporate Partnerships can provide for local businesses, encouraging collaboration between partners, while allowing companies to grow and raise their own profile. “Since joining the partnership, we’ve already been lucky enough to work with some of the other businesses, and I’m certain that there will be many more collaboration opportunities to follow.
“A key factor in our decision to join was my meeting with development director, Brian, and witnessing first-hand his enthusiastic commitment to the school and this initiative. “After taking the time to find out more about Power Minerals and the company’s aspirations, it struck me that Brian was clearly passionate about introducing the right organisations to the Partnership, which is a very reassuring quality to have.
“We’re looking forward to working with the Partnership in the future, and building long-term relationships with the other partners involved.” Brian Davies, commented: “The team at Power Minerals are very friendly, and it comes as no surprise to me that they are already working with some of the other partners here. “Their credentials as a well-established and experienced business makes them a very welcome addition to the partnership, and one that the other organisations will relish the opportunity to work with. “We’re very pleased to see that the initiative is succeeding in bringing businesses together to collaborate, and we hope to see similar activity moving forward.”
